Sneak Peek at the New Daily Show Boards

Yes ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, you CAN believe. And as proof that you CAN believe, here is a sneak peek at the ALL NEW DAILY SHOW BOARDS! [thunderous applause] We really can't wait to open up this new forum, with vastly improved stability and support. But... Well, we have to actually. This must be properly integrated and tested, and the actual launch date is super top secret. But rest assured, it's on its way...

Just thought you would like to check out Col. Dan Smith's redo of the Gettysburg Address as if done by George Bush ( http://quakerscolonel.blogspot.com/2008/02/if-george-bush-gave-equivalent-of.html ) It starts...Two score and 17 months ago, I brought forth in the Persian Gulf a new conflict misconceived in secret and dedicated to the proposition that all oil belongs to Halliburton.

Really good.

Here is a funny video about a Richard Nixon themed birthday party for a 4 year old girl: http://wordtoyourmutha.blogspot.com/2008/02/happy-birthday-mister-president.html

And I must say the new message board looks very cool, can't wait until it goes live.

OK y'all -- obviously you're jonzing too much for new boards to adhere to the "strictly about dev" theme of this blog. Hey, we can read the writing on the wall (as long as we have our glasses on), so FINE! Have at it! Post whatever you want to the comments here and as long as it's not spam, or porn, or porn spam, then we'll let it stay up. Cheers!

I hope you were monitoring todays big announcement of George H. Bush's endorsement of John Mc Cain.
I need your help. Who is the long white haired dude with Bush? More importantly, who is the devil eyed succubus standing behind Bush. I fear that Mc Cain may be sleeping with the devil.

I gave birth to you ALL, yes triplets..... I was very young and could not take care of you all. My name is
Ann Huckaby, yes we spell it both ways in our family.
So, basically you and Mike are family. You all need to
know this. How are you so different? I was at a party,
too much to drink, kind of like the "cat" thing.

Now you know, you are brothers, so stop it now....

Love, Ann aka Mom......

Have a good one......

Consider this:

They thought they would be treated as liberators, the force that would remove an oppressive leader who did not follow the rule of law or acknowledge the rights of the citizenry. They expected to have flowers thrown in their paths.

When that didn't happen, there was no Plan B. There was no conditional plan to cope with what they never even considered an impossibility. They wouldn't admit they were wrong, though. They threw their public relations team at it to spin every blunder, every stumble. "All was well; it was really exactly what we expected." They told mistruths in order to cover their failures. There were divisions within the inner circle about whether what path to follow. Those arguments became public.

And then Hillary Clinton lost her 10th primary in a row. How will they deal with this latest setback.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in thedailyshow.com so far. For one thing, as far as I can tell it completely lacks any sort of user feedback mechanism, which is why I'm posting here. The reason I feel compelled to give feedback though, is a bit more glaring - video playback is essentially non-functional, and has been since the inception of the site. It doesn't work in Safari, Opera, or Firefox on Mac OSX, and doesn't work in Firefox on Linux either. On the Mac all it does is play the ads repeatedly (in all three browsers), and on Linux it just seems to go into an infinite loop after the ads claiming it's "initializing". Thus it's pretty much useless to me.

Personally, I think it would be a better use of developer time to focus on cross-platform compatibility (or perhaps just *realizing* that there are users out there who don't run Windows) before adding things like a user forum.

Here's hoping this is paid any attention...

Comedy Central Digital Media said...

Zev -- please email us directly at thedailyshowinfo@comedycentral.com so we can get some more specific info from you regarding this issue. FYI, many people here, myself included, are Mac users. A much greater percentage of the CC audience are Mac users than reflected in the overall market. So we're very concerned with cross-compatibility.

That said, you should know that your experience, while not completely unique, is vastly in the minority. Video performance is GREAT for me on my Mac at work and at home. But clearly your experience is different and deserves attention. Email us, and we'll see if we can figure this out. We've had reports of similar problems from various places in the world, but very few.

Thanks for taking time to write!

You must go to MSNBC and watch the video of Chris Matthews interviewing Bob Bennett. It's about 2 hours old. Just as Matthews is finishing Bennett's intro, Bennett let's out a huge fart. You can even see him moving a littler from it. That's gotta be worth some air time, no pun intended.

I wonder if anyone actually read the transcription of Bin Laden's latest video. I was curious so I looked it up, The reason I mention this is that I think it's tragically funny that he stated quite clearly just how he intended to destroy the US. He said he would bankrupt us. Bush, thinking he knows bin laden better than bin laden decides that he is going to...take measures to protect our economy??? OR pour billions more into the fight against "terror" Results??- bin laden accomplishes his mission just as planned. It reminds me of the old playground trick called something like "stump the dummy".

I just don't see anyone relating the collapse of the American economy with just how much bin laden is ACTUALLY succeeding.

Why am I blogging this to the Daily Show? Because it's the only reliable news program on TV today.

You've got to check this out! I was flipping though the channels the other day, and thought this was a Daily Show skit at first, but it turns out to be real! "Return the Jews to Isreal. With only a donation of $350, you can help fufil the prophecy and be blessed!" It was an infomercial on The Word channel looking for donations to take poor, starving Jewish Ethopians out of Africia and return them to their "homeland" of Isreal. They look like they would rather have some seeds and irrigation tools or a Big Mac rather than a one-way plane ticket to the jewish mecca, but hey what do I know. I'm not Africian, Jewish, or starving. I'm an American couch potato watching infomercials. If you could have one of your crack reporters investigate this further, I think it would make for a really funny bit.

Hi, comment not related to the Boards but don't see where else I can leave feedback, so here it is.

1. New site and features looks great.

2. I suggest some improvement with the video viewer, since it stops to buffer every 10 seconds.... for instance, on youtube, a video can be paused to allow the entire video to upload and then be watched without bufferring pauses.

3. There is some problem with random video clips. They do not load. Instead, the commercial comes on, then the video says "connecting", then it says "buffering", then it jumps to the next video in line without showing the actual video clip. This does not happen to all video clips, so I can't figure out what the common factor is and why some videos work and others do not.

4. I miss the old web site feature that allowed the video clip to be expanded on the screen. As it is now, the video screen is overwhelmed by the other on page pictures and graphics.

I suggest for recurring guest myself as there is little more powerful than someone with no career or direction, no ambition and a willingness to work for free and spout internal self-referential genuis in as example of tautology formation.

That is -- only someone with little to lose or gain won't mind slathering bullshit to shed light on how bullshit is made.

And it would be nice to stop the bullshit, wouldn't it?

How to prove I have no ambition -- that is the central question -- I don't eat much, but I appreciate quality foods; I enjoy sympathetic hunger with the starving masses, but I also like a beer; who's to say I'm not just an epicure?

I worked at McDonald's and lived off of double cheese burgers for a few months, until I couldn't handle the responsibility; it was too much stress.

I worked at Waffle House and lived off of Waffles, cheese eggs and raisin toast. That felt pretty epicurean to me -- so I can't really be an epicure because the mass of epicures would not accept those tastes as epicurean; at best, I would be an epicurean to myself and whoever else appreciates the finer qualities of American cheese melting into grits.

Which directs us to America as a melting pot. Melting pots are hot and I haven't met a single individual that would actually investigate the metaphor directly to see if it were really something for us to embrace as a society. Mixing bowl might be better, but who likes to be whisked -- punch bowl, cereal bowl, salad bowl -- we're all getting eaten -- is that creapy to anyone else?

So we see, through careful analysis, that we are being eaten by some sort of alien or diety epicure interested in fondue -- we must serve that higher power through careful blending using the informations gathered throughout our history in the fields of selective breeding and genetics.

Now, to unravel the tautology I add the indescernable motivation -- I press this agenda because I am a predominantly white man who has never had sex with an African-American woman. As bedroom intrigue, I have yet to convince my girl-friend on the argument of everything once. Therefore, I create the line of logic and coincidence to serve the purpose.

"You understand, my love, God (or Aliens, or Family Values) want me to have sex with African-American women" (repeat argument for French women, Latin women, Asian women (or more aggressively, depending on the open-mindedness or dupability of your loved one, Chinese women, Phillipino Women, Vietnamese women)).

Thank you for your time, identify a mad-man with little ambition and make use of him.

Dr. Hansen is Danish-American - and Danes don't lie, EVER. Mark Bowen's book is a great read!

Hi, Just thought I'd let you know that video streaming for this site basically does not work with the latest version of Firefox on XP, or Debian Etch.

What's the deal, is it really that difficult to provide cross-platform video streaming support (the answer is no, it is not)?

Instead of forums and other doohickeys, why not try running some more thorough tests on the basic cross-platform streaming functionality for the current site? It needs some major work.

I hate having to open IE just to watch the dailyshow vids - lucky for you and the advertisers, Stewart and the gang are worth the trouble.

Mark Cooper with the Consumer Federation of America was on C-SPAN yesterday railing against the press for not reporting what is really going on (according to him) with the rising oil prices. He said the oil co's defend the high gas prices on the lack of refineries, using the excuse that they can't get permission from the US gov't to build them. Mr. Cooper said this is a lie; that they haven't applied to build them, thereby reducing the supply to increasing demand and the price. Moreover, gas prices rising in the instant oil goes up is a fraud b/c it take months for the oil to be refined and end up in gas stations. He said there is no real competition between gas/oil co's b/c they have exclusive territories and have basically formed an oligarchy. BRING MARK COOPER ON THE SHOW!!

Like a few others on this blog, I am using it as feedback to the website development team. Two comments: first - the video does not stream .... it is a series of jerky stills (I use Firefox). second - the video frame is too small. The Colbert Report website streams smoothly and has a much larger video screen. Maybe you can take a look at their site.

But clearly your experience is different and deserves attention.

We've had reports of similar problems from various places in the world, but very few.

(Everywhere in the world that isn't America can't play the videos, but since they're in the "minority" I consider this "very few")

Wow. Amazing.

Basically, my love for The Daily Show will keep me coming back here to see if you guys have addressed the MAJOR issues that thedailyshow.com never had before that I see so many people complaining about on these boards. 1. Get rid of streaming videos. 2. Make videos available outside the US.

Pretty easy, guys. Get with the program.

Jon Stewart has had Brian Williams' Giant Head as a guest before. I'd like to see that happen again but this time, Jon should be grilling Williams about his lack of journalistic integrity in regards to the recent stories on Pentagon propaganda. Two of Williams' favorite go-to guys, McCaffrey and Downing, belong to the neo-con thinktank group that has been promoting the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. That group's mission all along has been to disseminate propaganda that would sway the opinions of the American people to support the wars. Williams needs to address this issue and not with kid gloves either. Check out the article at http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/04/30/williams/index.html?source=newsletter

Instead of a forum, how about making the buffering work properly? It keeps giving up and offering to proceed to the next clip instead of persevering a bit longer and actually playing the one I'm trying to watch. Hitting "replay" or reloading the window eventually works, but 20 tries gets old fast.

Jon Stewart can save my neighborhood!

Or at least, make fools out of the testicle warts that are tearing it up.

The big news in Gainesville is the HyperWalmart just North of my poor little neighborhood. The cleansing of the poor old folks has begun. The code enforcers, in history known as gaugers, guagers, dirty rotten tax-men and many other special epithets have set about a stringent policy under the auspices of "Public Health and Safety". One of the first to feel the brunt is the aged and venerable Beatrice "Grandma Bea" Ellis, Chairperson of the Community Watch, community benefactor and activist.

Eighty years old now, Bea lives with her son, Bobby, who watches out for her. Rude was the day a code enforcer, turning back on his word, determined that the old cars Bobby had parked behind the fence were a danger to public health and safety. The abandoned vehicle ordinance was leveled against them; what perversion of a word's definition that is, to call a car "abandoned" that is parked on one's property behind a fence.

At a meeting yesterday, Bea, a friend of hers and I confronted the supervisor of this code enforcer at Bea's meeting; the principal code officer missed the meeting again, citing diverticulitis or some similar word that sounds complex but could be more simply described.

A long many years relative to my yet young life have passed since I've been called in to throw down words in defence of someone besides myself. I could not bear in silence as this stout little puddy man spoke with casual nonchallance to a woman his elder in every sense that deserves respect and an attentive ear.

He sent this aged and upset lady back absolutist questions to hedge her into a dialectic of powerlessness. If we bore down on one subject, he deflected it into being the matter of another entity. More than anything, he contradicted himself, mispoke himself, respoke himself and remembered little of the conversation when the conversation was self-referenced.

Worst of all, he began his portion of the dialogue with, "I know where all this comes from."

We were all wondrous ears to hear, "This is all because you got cited."

To Bea, this was a monumental insult; I don't think the code officers should bother with cars behind a fence when we have a filthy park, slow walking dime stores, soft and hard, and a thick population of hookers bold enough to shout the tastyness of their wares to passing firetrucks.

Bea said to me, the day she was cited, "I know it was wrong to have them cars, but he didn't have to do it the way he did it." She was outraged at the code officers and a particular policeman's inciting of her household in a rude and backhanded manner. To have the primary code officer's supervisor imply she was just mad because she got cited was akin to calling her a liar.

Most unnerving of all, the code enforcer's supervisor played back a chain of blame, laying the whole matter at the feet of Bea's neighbor.

I'm not fool enough to believe it coincidence that the Walmart just went up and now officials of the city are trying to prettify our poor neighborhood; must they prettify it at the expense of the poor landowners whose greatest achievement has been to survive segregation in the South, work knuckle-to-bone to eek out a space of property to enjoy in their old age and hand down to their children?

And if it is to be at their expense, if this poor neighborhood, on the corner of one of the county's busiest intersections, is to be wiped out for progress; shouldn't the powers that be give these folks, who suffered so much disrespect and abuse in their youth, respectful abuse as they are dispossessed of their property and peace of mind; that's all Bea asked for, she's ready and willing to do the will of the code enforcers; all she asked for was respect; when she complained to the supervisor, he had the smug nerve to imply she was raising a fuss just because she had been cited, as if she were a petulant child.

When there is such a premeditated and complete lack of interest and sincerity in human conversation, prior judgements are often the obstacle.

We wonder, what decisions have been made, far away, regarding our community?

(If it does not work, try right clicking on the video and select "show full size". This will make it fill the whole area... at least it used to, until they destroyed even that. :[) Maybe with that behaviour they want to show us that we should not watch their videos (and their ads).

You should check out this guy! I'm a huge fan of the show and I could see him working for you guys at some point. He has a website (http://www.whatyououghttoknow.com) and posts videos multiple times a week usually, putting a funny spin on the most mundane topics and he definitely has a face for TV. It's a low budget website and the material is really good!!

THINK ABOUT THIS

While I am a Greedy, Self-centered, SOB, I have expanded the Horizon-of-self to include GAIA, I’m not happy until GAIA’S happy.
The following is my Vision of how to $eed the Foundation of Change.
My goal is a world where people find themselves, seek their community and manifest their destiny. Where Hugs are a Given & I get 8-a-day.

$100B/yr X 49 years at 5% = A LOT! Augmented by Health & Welfare payments takes care of everyone’s needs. The ultimate goal is a Global Fund of $1,000,000,000,000,000.00 [One Quadrillion] PLUS! Not a Stock or some-such. A Publicly posted Vested Interest for each person. An inviolate sum that is every Beings’ Birthright.
Over time we buy out the Insurance & Pharmaceutical Industries, redirecting that Wealth to the Masses.
Pension off the Warlords just because War kills Consumers and is bad for the Environment.
Continuous Citizen Involvement [Everyone follows the money] insures accountability.

WHAT IF…WHAT MIGHT BE…
THE FOUNDATION OF THE BRIDGE TO GET THERE
I CAN SHARE CONNECTIONS I’VE MADE WHERE POWER FLOWED AND I DIDN’T DIE [The foundation of my existence]. I invite others to share their connections. Let’s build the cornerstones of that foundation. Now, if someone will start a web site we can get the dialog going. I suggest www.genzee.org [You’ll GET IT by the end of this read].
As a Shaman, I live by Spirit. I get no Vibes from the Internet, so don’t know how to proceed. I live alone on 33 Bucolic Acres in Southern Oregon.
I could use some company. I offer hugs, solitude and opportunity, to ’Work-it Out’ AND turn a profit. Kevin 541 878 2950.
Following are my thoughts on some of the stones to solidify the Foundation and a span or two to get the Bridge started.

SOCIAL SECURITY is a Worldwide Independent Entity that is:
Bond source for Municipal Bonds.
Bank for the Masses.
Owns all the water & mines and distributes Ice from Antarctica.
Health care {Mostly teaching wellness}.
Distributes Ozone equipment, free, to everyone.
Pensions.
Basic Subsistence for All vis-à-vis their tribe/group/community/whatever…
Transparent Accounting insures accountability.
Governess is limited to how to make these Goals Germaine to Social Order.

“THE COSMIC POWER of the UNIVERSE is CONNECTIVITY
THE BASE CONNECTION is the DYNAMIC of HUMAN ACTIVITY and GAIA
The GOAL is to JIGGER CURRENT CONNECTIONS and
OPEN NEW ONES TO ACHIEVE EQUILIBRIUM” {kfm 420’08}

“The SOUL is the ROUTER to CONNECTION” {kfm 424’08}

TITLE: GENERATION ZERO
OPENING: “GAHDA GENERATION ZERO. HERE WE TALK ABOUT THE ’HEAR & NOW’, SPECULATE ON THE THERE & THEN; LISTEN AND DIALOG ON HOW TO GET THERE…
NO RULES DYNAMIC GOALS [WE] WORK IT OUT
GENERATION ZERO, THE BRIDGE BETWEEN, AN ENDING AND A BEGINNING. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN BECOMES PART OF THE DIALOG, SINCE EVERYONE’S A RESOURCE, THERE’S NO AGE LIMIT. ONE SELF IDENTIFIES
Now, No one wants to be in the next Generation… following their folks footsteps or live the “It’s Traditional” BS So…
WE ARE NOT A GENERATION. WE ARE THE VANGUARD OF CHANGE, THE ARBITERS OF THE NEW PARADIGM
The Future will thank us for setting the tone for A Sustainable Arrangement between US and GAIA. So, if anything, we’re
GENERATION ZERO the bridge between… THAT’S IT
For Generation ‘Y’ and all those before , the cycle is no longer sustainable.
You can read/speak about the current stampede over the cliff elsewhere, here we dialog to consensus the foundation & paving stones of the bridge to the side road around Armageddon.
My goal here is to generate questions, what ifs, and dialog. To learn to listen hard enough to hear what others say. To filter that back & forth until common comprehension ensues [Aha! THAT’S IT!].
I may be 64 But, I just fell into myself a year ago. I’ve been writing like an Exuberant Youth who believes a Future is possible… IF ONLY!!! Well, I’ve been tilting at windmills for 40 years and finally knocked one over, after listening to ‘ONE POWER’ by Daniel Nahmod, a Bajillion times.

Here are thoughts to frame some conversations. Your feedback will frame future conversations. It’s on us to make it so or fall off the cliff.
[On a personal note, I spent 30 odd years on Deaths’ Doorstep. Was totally committed to “Today is the 1st day of the rest of my life” because I knew it could also be my last. Now I accept my connections and see the Dawn of another day]. I invite you to brighten the landscape, let’s get-R-done.

Where the Bridge might go…
Warless World of tribes, coming into ecological balance.
I invite IRAN to set the tone for the ‘Tribalization’ of the World by withdrawing from the Mnts of Kazastan[sp?], and getting other countries to withdraw as well. Let those people go home to their Mnts and be themselves. To bring their unique perspective to the world stage. As this spreads across the ARAB world, do the same in Africa. A continent of Tribes. Takes the thrill out of killing. All your neighbors are your Kin.
All Jihads & Violence, of any stripe, take place in Virtual Reality,
so as to not muss GAIA.
Every being is Vested in global SS, {as would pertain to their Tribe…}.
SS is funded by: Municipal Bond Source for the world; Bank of the People, germane to their tribe;
Owns & distributes all the water [This is Huge, to bring water into balance we need to inject one million CUBIC MILES of fresh water A YEAR into the water tables of the World]. Now there are BILLIONS of CUBIC MILES of fresh water on Antarctica. What with Global Warming and all, it shouldn’t be too hard to get the ice to slide into the ocean, streamline icebergs and ship them around the world. They can clean & cool the ocean in their travels. This is an action for the ’Common Good’. Fiscal transparency insures no ’Hanky-Panky’. By the way, where you inject the water affects the Humidity, which ‘Mellows’ the weather.
Collects all pension funds, as well as regular SS taxes.
Promotes wellness.
Because Trust is a given, All transactions are transparent, your personnel finances as well. With your input we’ll Dialog on what this means, point by point.
Here’s some thoughts on the Playing Field on the far side of the Bridge, rules, if you will.
1. Fiscal Transparency,
2. 10% limit on Profit or Loss,
3.Everyones’ basic needs are met within the venue of their tribe.
4. Collaboration IS Wealth Creation, everyone strives to know themselves and their unique connections in order to contribute…
5. Capitalism is alive & well, BUT yoked to the Basic Rule: 90% of new Wealth goes sideways and is devoted to GAIA’S equilibrium.
6. As long as it doesn’t upset GAIA,
the Underground Economy can do as it pleases.
WE CAN ADD MORE

Now to the Foundation, which in today’s World is Capitalization. We ‘Seed’ the beginning with the $3 Trillion plus in the SSTF, Invested at the rate of $100 Billion/yr X 49 years, so in 2048 there will be $5 Trillion of the People’s money, doing the People’s business, earning $250 Billion plus/yr from every entities Property Taxes.

To all Blogers, here’s the topic for 4th of July picnics and the run-up to Fall elections: How will communities invest their share in the years to come;
How to hold our Congressperson’s to a commitment to tax to buy back the SSTF debt at the $100B rate x 49 years. Adjusted for ‘Conditions’ every 7 years. Bear in mind that it reduces other taxes by $5T over the life of the tax, so IT! IS! A! WASH!
GDP minus the GVMT Budget equals $4T. A 10% tax on the top fourth ought to do it. Or however the Lobbyists might ’MAKE IT SO’.

i'm a VERY loyal fan of jon et al but must register my dissatisfaction with last night's dissing of barack obama - (6-23-08) - i don't watch your show to hear right-wing talking points, and you should be ashamed, not of attempting to point out the appearance of a discrepancy between words and actions (raising his hand indicating his support of public financing but choosing to pay his own way) but because your COMEDY WAS LAME, not funny, not even accurate in your critique. my wife and i sat watching dumbfounded. we watch to get news and laugh. if you feel the need to demonstrate you are fair and balanced, i understand, but you really could do better. BTW, we're also really not at all interested in seeing you interview actors pushing film or tv product - it's boring and uncomfortable watching you try to fill the time - i'm sure you're aware that your show excels when you have on substantive guests with something to say about the world. (thanks for listening)

Schwing says the shaman when flaming brand of bellow echoes stolen thoughts of millions and pressed into the self-professed of selfishness.

Strange says the more or less true gurus when the icons of calm quiet wisdom are distorted for profit.

Icons, images, totems and trinkets are reminders to be maintained until the warning has passed and the little lesson has been incorporated.

Much simpler for the shaman, prophet, guru, mystic or messiah to carefully carry a comet to Phoenix, put out the fire and free the Colorado River.

God tells me with a thick whisper after his spiced ambrosia that he doesn't like the notion of farming lettuce in a desert to avoid the insects.

Blogger has now added a blog role feature but there is no rss feed for the main page on the daily show url. How about adding a feed for the latest episode online? You could have rss feeds on your guy's blog here at blogger if created a feed for the site.

The Comedy Central streaming doesn't work nearly as well as google video or youtube on the lower end broadband which most people have.

It may be just great with cable or other true broadband connections, but when I try to watch a video it buffers to often.

However, youtube and google video can play with buffering at all.

More importantly is that I cannot pause the video and allow it to load to basically create a larger buffer.

You should allow people to buffer the content better. I don't care if you want to throw commercials in there, but the way you have it now I'm better off looking for ripped streams or torrents.

It's a MAJOR limitation of your site, basically makes it completely unusable to me and my internet isn't all that slow it's a 2 mbps download 1 mbps upload. Wireless though, but I can hold 150 kb/s most of the time.

That should be a enough to stream, though your vid may be higher quality, I'll never know since you don't make the buffer work well like youtube.

I have this same problem with break.com and others. I supposed it saves some bandwidth, but for a specialty service like Comedy Central that doesn't make much sense, especially considering you have ads.

I'd be better of ripping the stream for offline viewing or such because it just doesn't work with constant pauses while the stream buffers.

I really don't know what you guys are thinking not testing this on lower end broadband.

Plus all the home networks with multiple users running online games, video streams, downloads etc.

I'd like to see a story on PFC LaVena Johnson, stories like this receive no press, and I'd like to see Jon Stewart cover a story that deserves press, but does not receive it because American Media is broken. http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/07/31/pfc-lavena-johnson-was-raped-beaten-set-on-fire-and-worse-army-calls-it-suicide/

i just joined because i didn't see any other way to contact your show. you guys absolutely have to do something on John McCain constantly checking out Sarah Palin's ass while she was speaking at her VP announcement. it is hilarious, and i'm not the only one who noticed this. he scopes her and then looks up at the audience with a look, eyes at full blink, that says, 'i sure hope no one noticed that.' then he goes back to scoping her some more. that image says more about the real John McCain that all of his speeches put together!
