Wait, what time line?

One of the cool new features of TheDailyShow.com is the Flash time line navigational tool. It allows the user to easily select any month, day and year that the show has been on the air. However, you must have version 9.0.4.7 of the Flash player installed in order to view the time line navigator. So if you don’t see it, get updated HERE.

Hey,

Love the site, its my favorite new time waster. My comment isn't really about the time-line (although it is sweet), but I haven't been able to find a spot to report bad links. I've been trying to view a video called "Trailer Hitch" (http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=127293&title=trailer-hitch)
and it just doesn't work. Thanks for your help and keep up the great stuff!

PS - Can we expect a Colbert Report site in the future?

All the videos I try to watch beyond the home page (via the timeline or otherwise) will freeze Safari (2.0.4) when it's trying to load the last few page items.

Otherwise, I love the new site and the timeline is wonderful and joyous!

Hi there ! I'm not American, and therefore I'm not updated to the recent writers' strike in the US. I just came back from a trip and discovered that the DS w/ Jon Stewart stopped because of that strike. I understand that a show is the result of team's work, but am I to believe that WITHOUT the writers, Jon Stewart is not funny ?! Because that would crush my spirit for at least a day...

The site is fun to browse around in, however sadly lacking some pretty basic functionality. It is, for example, impossible to watch a full episode; when Jon announced the site on the show, it sounded like you could watch them all. No such luck. Just 2 minute soundbites cobbled together.

Please consider adding functionality to watch the entire show (you would obviously want to replace commercial breaks with more current material); that way the site would become truly useful (and a good historic archive of TDS; there are some truly great shows in the earlier years that would deserve such treatment :-)

Hi, I'm running the latest versions of Firefox, IE, and Flash player, but every time I try to open a page containing a clip, it fails to load.

The timeline works fine at first, and I can watch the clips that are embedded right on the home page, but as soon as I click on a specific clip to go to that page, I get a completely blank page (not even an error message). What gives?

I am running XP, firefox 2.0.11 & flash 9,0,115,0. I am able to view video fine, but I am not seeing the mysterious time line anywhere but the blog page announcing it.. Was it removed?

I am sad, I want to watch old episodes, but I can't find them

earlier, I couldn't load any of the video pages in either Firefox or IE. Now, the videos are loading, but I can't see the timeline!

I've been using the site for a while now, and I don't think most of these people know what they are doing... all the videos load just fine in FireFox, Safari, and Opera. The timeline was a little rough to use about a week ago, and now that I need it, I can't find it! Was it removed? One more question, is there a reason all the videos aren't displayed when you click 'Videos'? I'm just seeing the 4 'Recent Videos'. Thanks! Great work guys!

PS- Thank God the code writer's union isn't striking!

I just heard dave letterman wirters are negotiate a deal so they could go back to work. I think that it's time to use guerrilla tactics. The wirters should go on shows so they can take thier issues to the TV passive consumers. The big guys know that they can put anything on the air and the TV jundkies will consume. The only rights consumers have the right to consume. If your not on TV where are you?

I love the timeline, if it worked. I'm currently try to watch episodes of the past few days and it's impossible to navigate, even with the timeline. It's also quite shitty that I can only seem to reach the timeline from the search page.

All in all, I do love this new website, but the navigation (episode-based) just doesn't do it for me yet. I'm still sticking to http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/media_player/browsevideos.jhtml?showId=934
Those I can watch full screen too.

Something is wrong with the timeline search function. For instance, searching for videos of early June 2008, I get no search results, however they are on the website, and I can find them on under «popular videos» or even on the home page.

The time line isn't showing up for me either and that's probably because I have Flash 10 (beta) installed. I would rather not go back to Flash 9.0.4.7 as the sound always cuts out for me after watching a random clip or two. I've tried clearing out my cache among other things through CCleaner, Advanced Windows Care V2, along with plenty of other apps and it just doesn't seem to fix anything except for when I install Flash 10.

what happened to the timeline? The best part of this site was being able to see the fake news on any particular day. I have the latest flash, IE installed and i get nothing. Please bring the timeline back
